Where it breaks

All new accounts get 2 free hours of runtime to try before subscribing; the free trial's runtime does not renew like a paid plan's does.

A Chrome extension for building bots visually, plus a desktop runner and a cloud runner for scheduled, unattended execution. Also ships Chrome, Step and Orchestrate APIs for code-based control.

The category axiom.ai sits in — no-code browser automation — has a familiar failure mode: the recorder captures a sequence of clicks, and the sequence breaks the first time a site changes its layout. Axiom.ai’s answer is a mix of point-and-click recording and code escape hatches (custom JavaScript, three separate APIs) for when the visual builder isn’t enough, so a broken step doesn’t mean starting over.

Runtime hours, not bot count, are what you’re actually buying. Starter’s 5 hours a month is genuinely a trial amount — a handful of short daily runs — while Pro’s 30 hours is where a real recurring task (a daily data pull, a weekly report scrape) becomes comfortable. Concurrency only unlocks at Pro Max and above, so running several bots at once on a lower tier means they queue rather than run in parallel.

Desktop runs, worth noting, are unlimited in time and concurrency on every paid tier — the runtime caps and concurrency limits are specifically a cloud-hosting constraint, not a limit on what your own machine can do if you’re willing to leave it running.

Against Make, the distinction is where the automation lives: axiom.ai drives an actual browser through a real UI, which is what you need when a site has no API at all.
