What we can see. What we can't.

• The topic you're working on. When you ask your AI for one of the ebook's exercises, the companion requests that exercise from our server — so we see, in effect, "someone wants the pre-automation check." Not your question, not your words, not your situation. Just which piece of the ebook to send back.
• Your access code. The license key from your purchase receipt. It tells our server "this is a reader" — it identifies a purchase, not a person. Our server knows your code only as a scrambled (hashed) fingerprint; there's no account behind it and no profile attached to it. Lost your code? Log in with your purchase email at ebook.runitonai.com/access-code and it's right there.

• Your conversations. What you and your AI talk about stays between you and your AI.
• Your files. The companion has no access to your documents, and nothing on your computer is ever sent to us.
• Your name and your email. The companion never asks for either. Your access code is the only credential it uses, and your email never travels through the companion.
• What your AI knows about you. The companion pays attention to how you communicate so it can match your style. That read happens entirely inside your own AI. It is never transmitted to us, never stored anywhere, and exists for exactly one purpose: shaping how the companion talks to you.

On Claude, the connector runs through Anthropic's cloud. Your computer never talks to our server directly — Claude's own infrastructure sits in the middle, the same way it does for every connector in Claude's settings. You add the companion in a settings screen; nothing is installed on your machine, and removing it is one click in the same screen.

On ChatGPT, the companion runs as a custom GPT, and the connection is carried by OpenAI's infrastructure the same way.

The entire companion server is open source — small enough for a developer to read in a sitting, public on GitHub: github.com/StructLabs-io/runitonai-mcp. You can read every line and confirm what this page says: no conversations, no reader content, no profiles — the only records are scrambled (hashed) purchase credentials, rate-limit counters, and a lookup that lets a buyer recover a lost access code from their purchase email (the email itself is never stored, only its scrambled fingerprint). You can see exactly that in the code. If you know a developer, send them the link. If you are a developer, we'd genuinely enjoy the audit.

Run It on AI is published by StructLabs.io Pte Ltd, a Singapore company, and we handle data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). That's an easy standard to meet here, because the honest summary of our data handling is: we designed the companion so there's almost nothing to protect. The less we collect, the less anyone — including us — can lose.
