Where it breaks
The published Essential price starts at $2,500/month — this is not a small-business tool, and the two tiers above it require a sales conversation for an actual number.
Browser-based.
First entry in this reference. There is no previous check to compare it against.
The category Common Room competes in calls itself “signal-based go-to-market,” and the plain-English version is: instead of a sales team guessing who’s ready to buy, the software watches for the behaviour that usually means someone is — a pricing page visit, a GitHub star, a LinkedIn job change, activity in your own community — and surfaces the account before a human would have noticed.
The watching happens continuously, on its own schedule, and the alert or workflow fires without anyone opening the tool to check. What a person does is decide what to do with the signal once it arrives, not go looking for it.
What the credits actually gate
Two credit types sit inside every tier: RoomieAI research credits, which pay for the AI doing account research, and Prospector credits, which pay for finding new contacts at flagged accounts. Both scale up through the tiers roughly in step with seats and tracked contacts, so the real ceiling on any plan is less “how many seats” and more “how much research and prospecting volume.”
Where the price puts it
At $2,500 a month for the cheapest published tier, Common Room sits well above most tools in this directory and is priced for a company with an active go-to-market motion and a sales or marketing team large enough to act on the signals it surfaces — not a solo operator’s first attempt at lead generation. The two tiers above Essential don’t publish a number at all, which tracks with a product sold on negotiated contracts past the entry point.
