Where it breaks
Browser-based; the whole site, CRM and invoicing live in one dashboard rather than separate tools.
First entry in this reference. There is no previous check to compare it against.
Durable’s pitch is aimed squarely at the person who needs a website today, not a design project — a plumber, a cleaner, a solo consultant who wants something live before the next customer calls, not a build they’ll iterate on for a month.
That speed is the real product. Describe the business and Durable generates copy, layout, and images in under a minute, which is fast enough that the site stops being the bottleneck between “I started a business” and “I can be found.” What keeps people paying past the first month is less the site generator and more the CRM and invoicing bolted onto it — leads captured through the site land directly in a pipeline you can follow up from, without connecting a second tool.
What “unlimited AI pages” doesn’t include
The free tier’s generous page and traffic limits are the hook; the actual constraints show up in blog posts (2/month), lead replies, and CRM contact caps (10), which is where a business that’s actually getting inquiries runs into the wall and upgrades.
Against the alternatives
Against Hostinger Horizons, the split is depth versus hosting bundling: Durable goes further into CRM and invoicing built for a solo service business, while Horizons leans on Hostinger’s existing hosting infrastructure and includes email in the same bill. Against a general AI website builder without the business tooling, Durable’s advantage disappears the moment the business doesn’t need to chase leads or send invoices from the same place — at that point you’re paying for CRM features you won’t use.
