Where it breaks
The prices above are sourced from GetResponse's own USD pricing data at the 1,000-subscriber list size — the number on GetResponse's page rises as your list grows, so these are starting figures, not what a larger list will pay. The site geo-detects currency by IP; a reader browsing from outside the US may see EUR or another currency by default and should confirm USD is selected before checking out.
First entry in this reference. There is no previous check to compare it against.
GetResponse has been around long enough to have expanded well past plain email — webinars, sales funnels, a course creator, and premium newsletters all live inside the same subscription, which makes it less a newsletter tool and more a small-business marketing suite that happens to have started as one.
The AI layer sits across most of that surface rather than in one place: campaign copy, landing page generation, and subject-line suggestions all pull from the same set of generators. None of it is the reason to choose GetResponse over a plain email tool — the reason is the breadth underneath it, particularly for a business already running webinars or selling a course, where GetResponse replaces two or three separate subscriptions rather than one.
Where the price actually lands
List size, not tier alone, drives the bill — the figures above are the 1,000-subscriber starting price for each plan, and GetResponse’s own pricing page scales upward from there as your list grows, the same mechanic most email platforms use. Budget by expected list size at the tier you need, not by the number shown first.
Against the alternatives
Against Constant Contact, the split is depth versus simplicity: Constant Contact stays closer to straightforward email and social campaigns for a local business, while GetResponse’s automation and funnel tooling suit a business already running structured marketing sequences, not just sending newsletters.
