Where it breaks
The plan structure is genuinely confusing on the pricing page — Bundle plans (above), Outreach-only plans, and Credits-only plans are three different products with overlapping names and prices, and it's easy to compare the wrong two against each other. Confirm which family a quoted price belongs to before budgeting. Annual billing saves roughly 10% across the Bundle plans.
Browser-based. Instantly also sells narrower "Outreach-only" plans (from $47/month) that drop the leads database and credit system for teams that already have their own contact lists, and separate stand-alone credit packs for AI features — three overlapping pricing structures live on the same page.

Cold email at real volume runs into a wall long before creative copy becomes the bottleneck: send too much from one mailbox and spam filters notice, deliverability collapses, and every message — including the ones your actual customers wanted — starts landing in junk. Instantly’s core product is infrastructure against exactly that problem: many mailboxes, rotated sends, and a shared warm-up network of over a million accounts that keeps individual senders looking legitimate.
The AI layer sits on top of that infrastructure rather than replacing the need for it. The sales agent drafts and personalises outbound copy from the leads database; the reply agent triages what comes back, so a human isn’t the bottleneck reading every “not interested” before the genuinely warm leads get attention.
Why three pricing families exist on one page
Bundle plans (above) are the all-in-one option — leads database, sending, credits, in one price. Outreach-only plans strip out the database for teams bringing their own contact lists, at a lower entry price. Credits-only plans exist for teams that already have a sending setup and just want AI credits. Picking the wrong family means comparing an apples price to an oranges feature set.
Against Apollo.io and Clay
Apollo bundles database and sending in a similar way to Instantly’s Bundle plans, with Apollo generally seen as the stronger data source and Instantly the stronger deliverability infrastructure for genuinely high-volume sending. Clay is a different layer entirely — research and enrichment that often feeds into Instantly for the actual send, rather than a competing all-in-one product.
