Where it breaks
Lead Data Enrichment ($16/month for 2,000 credits, billed yearly) and Buying Intent Signals ($21/month, billed yearly) are sold as separate add-ons rather than bundled into either main plan — the sticker price on Email or Multichannel doesn't include the lead-sourcing data most cold-outreach teams also need.
Browser-based, with a Chrome extension for LinkedIn automation. Lead enrichment (email/phone finding, buying-intent signals) is billed as separate add-on credits on top of the base plan.
First entry in this reference. There is no previous check to compare it against.
Lemlist made its name on personalisation that most cold-email tools can’t do: a generated image or short video with the prospect’s name, company logo, or screenshot baked in, at the top of a cold email. That trick still works because most competing tools still send identical text to everyone.
Once a sequence is live, it runs on its own schedule without you touching it — following up automatically if there’s no reply, branching based on whether an email was opened, and (on Multichannel) mixing in LinkedIn messages and SMS as separate steps in the same sequence. You set it up once, then it works unattended until a prospect replies or the sequence ends.
What actually differs between plans
The Email plan is a genuinely complete outreach tool on its own — the jump to Multichannel is specifically for teams who want LinkedIn connection requests and SMS folded into the same automated sequence rather than run as a separate manual process. If your outreach is email-only, Multichannel’s extra channels are dead weight you’re paying for.
Against the alternatives
Against Smartlead if it’s in this directory, the comparison usually comes down to deliverability infrastructure and pricing at volume — worth checking both if email is the only channel you need. Lemlist’s edge is specifically the personalised-image feature and the multichannel sequencing; a team that only ever sends plain-text cold email won’t get much extra value from either.
The add-on credits for lead data are easy to underestimate at signup — a team running real volume typically spends more on enrichment credits than the base plan costs, so get a realistic sense of your monthly lead volume before comparing this against a flat-rate competitor.
