Noloco
A no-code builder for client portals and internal tools that reads directly from Airtable, Google Sheets or a database, with AI generating the first layout for you.
What you'd use it for
Building a client portal or internal tool that reads and writes straight from an existing Airtable base, spreadsheet or database, so outside people get a proper login instead of a shared link.
- Gate access by app, table, record and field, with conditional rules tied to the data itself
- Fire workflows on form submissions, record updates or a schedule to send emails or change a status automatically
- Connect directly to Airtable, Google Sheets, Postgres, Supabase, Xano or Stripe without migrating the data
- Brand the portal with your own colours, logo and domain, including full white-label on higher plans
- Generate a first working layout from a plain-language description using the built-in AI assistant, Nola
The verdict
Noloco is strong where an outside party -- a client, contractor or franchisee -- needs a branded, permissioned window into data already run on Airtable, Sheets or a proper database, without a migration. The AI assistant gets you a plausible starting layout quickly, but the real cost sits in tuning field-level permissions and workflows once actual outside users are on the portal. It suits an agency or ops team already living in Airtable that has outgrown sharing a base link; it is the wrong tool once the audience is only your own team.

What you need to start
- An existing data source to connect: Airtable, Google Sheets, Postgres, Supabase or Xano
- An email to start the 14-day free trial; no credit card required
No card needed to start the 14-day trial, and Noloco builds a first portal shell within an hour of connecting a data source; getting field-level permissions and branding right for real outside users takes appreciably longer.
Your first run Connecting an Airtable base is enough for Noloco to build the first collection views, record pages and forms around it automatically; the vendor's own examples put a basic client portal from Airtable together in under an hour, before permissions and branding are tuned.
Where it breaks
Browser-based builder. A 14-day free trial is available on paid plans with no card required.

When not to use it
Not for teams whose users are purely internal -- Airtable's own interface layer, or a tool built for internal dashboards rather than outside clients, will be simpler and cheaper. Also not a fit for anyone expecting the AI to write the actual business logic; budget real hand-tuning time for permissions before outside users touch the portal.
Noloco answers a specific question: you already keep your data in Airtable or a spreadsheet, and now a client, a contractor, or a warehouse team needs a proper interface into it — not another spreadsheet share link. It builds that interface without asking you to move the underlying data anywhere.
The “client” framing runs through the whole product. Pricing counts active clients as a first-class number alongside team seats, and the feature set — logins, permissions per user, branded portals — is built for external people looking at your data, not just internal dashboards. If your need is purely internal, a simpler tool built directly on Airtable’s own interface layer may be enough; Noloco earns its keep once outsiders need access.
Where the AI actually helps
AI credits generate a starting layout from a description rather than writing your business logic for you — closer to a head start than a finished build. Budget for hand-tuning once the shape exists, especially on permissions, which is where portals for outside users get expensive to get wrong.
Choosing a data source builder
Against NocoDB, the split is who the interface is for: NocoDB is a spreadsheet-grade grid for your own team, Noloco is a branded portal for people outside your organisation. Against Softr or Stacker, Noloco’s differentiator is breadth of data sources — Postgres, Supabase and Xano sit alongside Airtable and Sheets, so it survives a move off spreadsheets later.
Alternatives
NocoDB
A spreadsheet-style interface laid over any database — your own Postgres, MySQL or a hosted table — so a non-technical team can view, filter and edit records without touching SQL.
Softr
Builds client portals and internal tools directly on top of an Airtable base or Google Sheet, without writing code.
Google AppSheet
Turns a Google Sheet or database into a working mobile app for field teams, with no code required to build it.
