Where it breaks

Yellow.ai's own pricing page references a mid-tier called 'Basic' inside a features comparison table, but shows no price for it anywhere on the page — only Free and Enterprise carry a published price, so a mid-tier option likely exists but its cost is not public.

First entry in this reference. There is no previous check to compare it against.

Yellow.ai’s positioning is breadth of channel, not breadth of feature. Where most support AI tools optimise for email and web chat, Yellow.ai was built to also cover WhatsApp, voice and the messaging apps that dominate outside North America and Europe — 35-plus channels and 135 languages, with a customer base weighted toward Asia-Pacific enterprises running support at genuinely large scale.

That scale shows in who buys it: more than 1,000 enterprise customers and $102 million-plus raised, and its 2025 acquisition target status (NiCE’s $955 million purchase of Cognigy, a close competitor in this space) is a sign of how much consolidation is happening around enterprise conversational AI right now. This is not the tool a five-person support team reaches for first.

The pricing gap in the middle

The public pricing page shows a clear Free tier (limited sessions, one agent) and an Enterprise tier (custom, unlimited everything), with a “Basic” tier referenced in a features comparison table but no price attached to it anywhere on the page. That gap usually means a real mid-tier exists and is quoted on request — worth asking about directly rather than assuming your only options are the free trial or a full enterprise contract.

Against Yellow.ai’s closest peers in Cognigy and Ada, the Asia-Pacific channel depth — particularly WhatsApp and regional messaging apps — is the strongest reason to pick this one specifically if that is where your customers actually are.
