Make now builds automations inside ChatGPT
On 9 September, Make published an official plugin in ChatGPT’s plugin directory. You describe an automation in the chat window you already use, and Make builds it. Make says your automations keep running in its cloud whether or not ChatGPT is open.
Everything you have done with AI so far stopped the moment you closed the tab. This does not. The obstacle was never the model. It was the second piece of software you had to learn before anything happened, and that is where most small-business automation attempts die.
First step. Install from ma.ke/chatgpt-plugin. Pick one job you do by hand every week and can describe in a sentence, a weekly summary of new form entries, say. Describe it, then open Make and look at what it built before you switch it on.
The catch. Make says it works on all Make plans. OpenAI says installing any plugin depends on your plan, workspace, role and region. Two vendors, two claims, so try installing it before you plan anything around it. Your app connections still live in Make either way. We have not used this ourselves.
