Crystal Knows
Predicts a prospect's communication style — DISC personality type — from their public profile, so you can adjust your pitch before the call instead of guessing.
What you'd use it for
Reading how a specific prospect prefers to be pitched — fast and blunt, or slow and detailed — before you get on the call with them, not after.
- Predict a person's DISC personality type from their LinkedIn profile via a Chrome extension popup
- Get a Conversation Coach brief on what to say, what to avoid, and how to open a pitch or email to that person
- Build a prospect meeting-prep brief before a sales call, with buyer profile and follow-up guidance
- Generate 20+ behavioural guides covering how to sell to, negotiate with, or manage someone by personality type
- Run team personality assessments for hiring or people-ops decisions
The verdict
Crystal does one narrow thing well — turn a LinkedIn profile into a short, usable read on how someone prefers to be pitched. It isn't a contact database or a CRM; you still need the person's details from elsewhere and bring them into Crystal specifically to prep. The read is inferred from public writing, not a test the person actually took, so treat it as a way to avoid an obvious tone mismatch rather than a guarantee of how they'll respond. Worth it for someone who runs enough first calls that a wrong guess costs real deals; overkill for occasional outreach.

When not to use it
Not for anyone expecting contact data or firmographic enrichment — that's a different category of tool entirely. Not for anyone who'll treat the DISC read as settled fact rather than a hint, since it's inferred from public signals rather than an assessment the person completed themselves.
Crystal answers a specific, narrow question before a sales call or a difficult conversation: is this person likely to want the short version or the detailed version, decisions made fast or decisions made carefully. It infers a DISC-style personality read from someone’s public profile and writing, then hands you a short brief on how to pitch, email or negotiate with them.
It’s not a CRM enrichment tool in the ZoomInfo or Apollo sense — no contact data, no firmographics. The entire product is the behavioural read and the coaching that comes with it, which makes it a companion to those tools rather than a competitor: you’d still get the contact details elsewhere and bring the person into Crystal specifically to prepare for the conversation itself.
Pricing splits cleanly by use case rather than just seat count. The Sales-specific Premium tier at $59/month is cheaper than the general Premium at $49/month is confusing to compare directly, because it bundles buyer-profile and meeting-prep features the general plan doesn’t have — check which line of the product you actually need before assuming the general consumer tier is the default. Business tiers scale by number of participants assessed, relevant for HR or people-ops use rather than individual sales prep.
The honest caveat with any personality-inference tool: it’s a prediction from public signals, not a validated assessment the person took themselves, so treat it as a conversation-starter and a way to avoid an obvious mismatch in tone, not a certainty about how someone will actually respond.
