Intercom Fin
A support agent that answers customer questions straight from your help docs, handing off to a human only what it cannot resolve.
What it costs
| Tier | Price | For | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fin with your current helpdesk | $0.99 per resolution, with a 50-resolution monthly minimum | Teams on Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshworks or another non-Intercom helpdesk who want to keep it. | Ticket handling across channels, a customisable tone of voice, and handoff to a human agent when it cannot resolve something. |
| Fin with Intercom | $0.99 per resolution, plus $29 per helpdesk seat per month | Teams choosing Intercom itself as the helpdesk. | Everything above plus the Intercom inbox, ticketing, workflows, help centre, and outbound messaging suite. |
| Pro Add-on | From $99/month (Intercom customers only) | Teams wanting to analyse and improve Fin's performance directly. | Performance analytics, quality monitoring, and Operator. |
| Copilot Add-on | $35 per user per month | Support teams wanting AI assistance for their human agents, not just the bot. | In-context AI help for agents, training on your content, and translation. |

Where it breaks
Fin is priced per successful resolution ('outcome'), not per seat — a support team's monthly bill scales with how much ticket volume the bot actually resolves, which makes it genuinely hard to budget for until you have a real month of data behind you.
Runs inside Intercom's inbox, or alongside another helpdesk via an integration — it does not require switching your whole support stack to Intercom.

Fin is one of the few tools here that acts on live customer conversations with real consequences. Once it is trained on your help centre, it answers customer questions on its own, end to end, and the thing you review afterward is the outcome — did it resolve the ticket correctly — not each step it took to get there.
The pricing follows the same logic. Rather than a seat fee that costs the same whether the bot is busy or idle, Fin charges per resolution: $0.99 for each ticket it closes without a human, with a 50-resolution monthly floor. That aligns the cost with the value oddly well for an AI product — a quiet month costs little, a busy one costs more, and there is no seat sitting unused.
The part that is easy to miss
Fin still needs somewhere to live. If your helpdesk is already Salesforce, HubSpot or Freshworks, Fin bolts on for the per-resolution fee alone. If it is Intercom, or you are adopting Intercom to get it, there is a separate $29-per-seat helpdesk fee underneath the AI cost — two line items, not one.
Where it fits
Against Zendesk AI, the real decision is usually which helpdesk you are already running, since both products are the AI layer of their respective ecosystem rather than standalone bots you can point at any inbox equally well.
