Where it breaks
All paid prices above scale with the number of contacts on your list — the figures shown are the entry-level rate at the smallest list size and will rise as your list grows. The Free plan is not a time-limited trial; it stays free indefinitely at its sending cap.
Browser-based, built as a Shopify and BigCommerce app first, with standalone use also supported. No desktop app.

Omnisend is built for one specific job: turning a store’s existing customer and browsing data into email and SMS that actually reflects what that customer looked at, abandoned, or bought before. That is the difference from a general email tool like MailerLite — the automations (abandoned cart, welcome series, post-purchase upsell) are pre-built for ecommerce rather than generic, and product recommendations are AI-generated from real store data rather than manually curated.
The free plan is unusually generous for what it is: every feature paid customers get, capped at 500 emails and 250 contacts, with no expiry. That makes it a genuine way to build the first automations before paying anything, rather than a crippled trial designed to force an upgrade in week two.
Reading the price ladder correctly
Every paid number in the tiers above is the bottom of a list-size scale, not a flat fee — Omnisend prices per contact, so the number you actually pay depends on how large your list is, and the entry-level $11.20 and $41.30 figures only apply at the smallest tracked list size. Budget for that number to climb as the list grows, not stay fixed.
Where SMS changes the calculation
The jump from Standard to Pro is mostly about SMS: Pro throws in bonus SMS credits equal to whatever you’re already paying monthly, which only matters if text messaging is part of your marketing mix at all — a store that is email-only gets comparatively little extra value from the upgrade beyond priority support.
