Where it breaks
AI actions are metered separately from the seat price, at 25 cents (Pro) or 19 cents (Business) per 100 credits — a heavy AI user can add real spend on top of the base fee.
Browser, iOS, Android, macOS and Windows apps.

The pitch is not that Motion writes your tasks for you. It is that it decides, every day, where each task goes — moving flexible work around the meetings that actually landed on your calendar, instead of leaving you to reshuffle a to-do list by hand every morning.
That makes it closer to autopilot than assistant. You still set the tasks, deadlines and priorities; Motion decides the ordering and keeps re-deciding as the day changes. A meeting gets added, a task gets bumped, and the calendar quietly rewrites itself rather than waiting for you to notice the conflict.
What the seat price buys
- Pro AI is the individual version — one calendar, one person’s tasks, AI chat and document tools bundled in.
- Business AI adds the coordination layer: capacity planning across a team, time tracking, and permissions, so a manager can see who has room for more work before assigning it.
Where it sits against calendar tools
Against Reclaim.ai, the closest comparison in this directory, the difference is emphasis rather than category: Reclaim leans toward defending existing habits and focus blocks, Motion leans toward full task-and-project scheduling. Both move meetings without asking each time, unlike anything that only reacts when you open it.
The honest limitation is credits. The seat fee buys a baseline of AI usage, and Motion’s own pricing page prices additional AI actions per 100 credits rather than folding them into the subscription — worth watching in the first month before assuming the $19 or $29 figure is the whole bill.
