What you'd use it for

Recording a quick screen-and-camera update that replaces a status meeting, while an AI notetaker still sits in on the calls that do need to happen live.

  • Record a screen-and-camera video and share it as a link, with no sign-up needed to send or watch it
  • Have an AI notetaker join and transcribe calls on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
  • Get an automatic summary and action items pulled from any recording
  • Reply to someone's video with your own recorded reply, threaded on the same bubble
  • Connect recordings and notes out to 200+ apps via Zapier, plus ChatGPT and Claude

The verdict

Bubbles earns its place by combining two things few tools do well together — a screen-and-camera recorder good enough to actually replace a status meeting, and an AI notetaker for the calls that do need to happen live. The free tier is genuinely usable for the async half, but recordings lock after two weeks, so it isn't a place to build a permanent archive without paying. Teams of three or more get a cheaper per-seat rate automatically rather than a flat team price, which is worth knowing before comparing it against competitors quoted per seat. It suits a team whose meeting problem is really about timing, not one where decisions get made live and nobody writes down what happens next.

What it costs

Tier Price For Includes
Basic $0/mo Individuals and small teams trying it out. 30-minute recording limit, 5 recordings weekly, unlimited screen recordings, AI summaries and action items, recordings lock after 2 weeks.
Pro Personal $18/member/mo (annual) or $22/mo (monthly) Freelancers and individuals who want their recordings to stick around. Unlimited recording length and count, recordings never lock, AI transcripts, custom Notetaker branding, unlimited channels.
Pro Teams $12/member/mo (annual) or $15/mo (monthly) Teams of 3 or more, where the per-seat price drops automatically. Everything in Pro Personal, applied across the whole workspace.

What you need to start

  • A Google or Microsoft calendar connection so the AI Notetaker can join scheduled meetings automatically
  • Chrome or another Chromium-based browser for the recording extension
  • An account, once you want recordings saved past a single one-off share

Under a minute to record and share a first video with no account at all; a few minutes more to connect a calendar if you want the Notetaker joining meetings on its own.

Your first run Click Start Recording at usebubbles.com, share a tab, an app, or your whole screen, then stop — the video is ready to share as a link within a minute or two, with nothing to install and no account needed for a single recording.

Where it breaks

On the Basic plan, recordings lock and become inaccessible after two weeks — a real limitation if you're trying to build a searchable archive rather than just watch things once.

Browser and desktop app. The Notetaker joins scheduled meetings to record and transcribe them; separately, anyone can record an async screen-and-camera update without a live call at all.

When not to use it

Not for a team whose real problem is that decisions get made in the room and nothing gets tracked afterwards — Bubbles records the update, it doesn't chase follow-through. Also not for anyone wanting a permanent, searchable meeting archive on the free tier, since recordings disappear after two weeks unless you're on a paid plan.

Bubbles is aimed at a specific and common waste: the recurring status meeting that exists only so everyone hears the same three updates. The pitch is to record a short async video instead — walk through your screen, say what changed, and let people watch it whenever suits them — while an AI notetaker still covers the live calls that do need to happen synchronously.

That combination is the actual product. Plenty of tools do meeting transcription; fewer are built around the idea that some meetings shouldn’t happen live at all, and give you a recording workflow good enough to replace them rather than just document them.

What changes at the team tier

Pro Teams is cheaper per seat than Pro Personal once a workspace hits three members, and the switch is automatic rather than something you have to negotiate. That is a meaningfully different pricing shape from most seat-based tools, where team plans usually cost more per person for the added admin features, not less.

Where it fits and where it doesn’t

If your team’s meeting problem is genuinely about time zones or interruption — people needing to catch up without a live call — this replaces real minutes with a five-minute recording. If your meeting problem is that decisions get made in the room and nowhere else, a recording doesn’t fix that; you still need someone tracking follow-through. Bubbles handles the capture, not the accountability.
