Chatsonic
A chat assistant from Writesonic that combines ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini in one interface, built around marketing workflows.
What you'd use it for
Chatting with GPT-4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Pro from one subscription instead of paying for ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro separately.
- Switch between GPT-4o, o1, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Pro inside the same chat thread
- Ask it to search the web in real time and pull results into the reply
- Publish a finished draft straight to WordPress without copying it out
- Pull in Google Search Console and Ahrefs data while writing SEO content
- Hand it a PDF, image, spreadsheet or slide deck to analyse
The verdict
Chatsonic works as a way to run GPT-4o, o1, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Pro from one subscription for less than the cost of two individual model plans, and the marketing extras (WordPress publishing, Google Search Console, Ahrefs) are a genuine convenience if content production is the job. It is a wrapper rather than a first-party product, so it is never the fastest route to a model's newest feature on day one. The larger caution is Writesonic itself: the company has moved its main product and pricing page toward AI-visibility tracking, leaving Chatsonic live but sidelined, which is worth weighing before treating it as a long-term tool rather than a cheaper stopgap.

What you need to start
- A Writesonic account (email signup, no credit card for the free tier)
- The Individual plan, billed annually, for full access to GPT-4o, o1, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Pro
A few minutes to a working free account with no credit card; the paid Individual plan is needed before you get full model access rather than the daily free-tier limits.
Your first run Signing up drops you straight into the chat window on the free tier with no credit card needed; the first real result is asking a question and picking which underlying model answers it, a matter of minutes.
Where it breaks
Writesonic's main product has repositioned itself around AI answer-engine tracking (the same category as [Profound](/tools/profound/)), and its primary pricing page no longer mentions Chatsonic at all. The pricing above comes from a separate, still-live page at writesonic.com/chat — confirm that page still exists before sending anyone there.

When not to use it
Not for anyone who wants a single vendor's own product and its fastest access to a new model's newest feature, rather than a wrapper around three others. Also worth a second look before committing long-term, given Writesonic's own attention and roadmap have visibly moved to a different product.
Chatsonic’s pitch is straightforward: one subscription, one interface, access to GPT-4o, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Gemini 1.5 Pro without separately paying for ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro. At $16 a month against $20 each for the originals, the arithmetic favours Chatsonic on price alone if what you want is casual access to more than one model.
What you’re giving up for that price is depth. Chatsonic wraps the models rather than being either company’s own product, so it doesn’t get day-one access to a new model’s full feature set, and marketing-specific extras (WordPress publishing, Google Search Console integration) are the differentiation rather than a materially better chat experience.
A company in the middle of repositioning
Worth flagging plainly: Writesonic, the company behind Chatsonic, has moved its main product and its main pricing page toward tracking brand visibility inside AI answers — the same job Profound does — rather than toward content generation or chat. Chatsonic still exists as a live, separately priced product at writesonic.com/chat, but it now sits outside the company’s primary positioning, which is worth knowing before treating it as a flagship product rather than a legacy one still being maintained.
Who this actually suits
If model-hopping between ChatGPT and Claude in one tab, at a lower combined price than either alone, is the appeal, Chatsonic does that job. It is not the pick if you want a single vendor’s fastest access to their newest model, or a chat tool bundled with broader agentic workflows.
